New York Giants Select David Wilson Live Draft Grade

The New York Giants had some interesting options looking at them at the end of the first round: TE Coby Fleener, OT Cordy Glenn, WR’s Stephen Hill, Rueben Randle, Alshon Jeffery, Courtney Upshaw, Jerel Worty were a few of the players that were still available.

It’s surprising that the Giants went with David Wilson. Wilson is an exciting running back with legitimate 4.4 speed. Wilson also has a strong base with thick legs to carry the football in between the tackles, it’s just an odd pick.

Draft Grade: B

I favor Doug Martin to David Wilson, but I liked other players better. Cordy Glenn was the player I would have liked, but I think the Giants expect James Brewer to contribute.
