Jay Glazer, via twitter, tweeted that he is hearing the Salary cap will be at about 120.6 million dollars this year, which means the cap will be essentially the same as it was last year and teams that were pressed up against the cap like the Giants, Steelers (before all of their cuts), Raiders, etc. will not be active in free agency this year. This figure remains this way now, but should explode in the near future when the new t.v. contracts kick in to full force. It has been reported that the league will announced the official number on Monday, with free agency beginning early next week.
Hearing that when the league sets the salary cap on Monday it’ll be right around $120.6 million
