Orson Charles decided not to run at the Combine, but now, scouts will likely have to have private workouts with him if they want to find out truly what his straight line speed is. Charles ran in the 4.7-4.88 range at the Georgia Pro Day, which is considered unofficial since he did it with 20-30 mile an hour winds swirling around in Athens.
We will have more analysis and player profiles from Georgia’s pro day as more information becomes available, but as of right now, this is pretty much the big news. Charles had a pretty outstanding combine performance and somewhat surprisingly chose not to run.
Now we may never know how fast this guy truly is, but that’s okay because all we need to know is that he’s a great athlete who is a little bit smaller than average, but he can sure catch the ball and make plays.
