Adam Schefter at ESPN is reporting the Baltimore Ravens will place the franchise tag on star running back Ray Rice. Rice has been one of the top dual-threat running backs in the NFL over the last few seasons, and for 2012, he will be in Baltimore.

The two sides will attempt to work out a contract extension, obviously, but this has to be welcome news for Ravens fans.

Rice finished last season with over 2,000 yards of total offense and 15 touchdowns.
