CBS Sports Breaks down the winners and losers of day one.

One of the winners is the St. Louis Rams:

St. Louis Rams: On Thursday night, we told a St. Louis radio station that Jeff Fisher would be sitting back and smoking a cigar by the time Robert Griffin III finished running his 40-yard dash. That’s because Fisher and the Rams will be holding an auction for Griffin, the clear-cut, second-best (if second …) quarterback in the draft. Everyone in Indy’s glowing about the kid and he hasn’t arrived yet either. And everyone interested should get involved. If the Browns, Dolphins and Redskins don’t get involved, they’re doing themselves a disservice, because RG3 is going to good in the NFL. Make the move, pay the picks and reap the benefits. Fisher’s willing to do just that.

And a loser: Steve Johnson

Stevie Johnson: We’ve thought he’d get the franchise tag from Buffalo at minimum. But in listening to Bills head coach Chan Gailey, that’s just not happening. Or it might; but Gailey’s description of Johnson was quintessential “we’re sorry to lose Stevie.” He said he wouldn’t miss Stevie until Stevie was gone and then cited the “business” of the game. Those aren’t the words of a coach who’s pumped to be celebrating a new contract for his franchise wideout.

According to Pro Football talk the Dolphins and Chiefs have won their coin tosses. Officially setting the draft order

The Dolphins won their coin toss with the Panthers, which means the Dolphins will select eighth and the Panthers will select ninth in the first round. The Chiefs won their coin toss with the Seahawks, which means the Chiefs will select 11th and the Seahawks will select 12th.

This means that if the Chiefs want Trent Richardson he might fall into the their lap. Theyd also have the opportunity to grab a player like Michael Brockers before he fell into their hands, or David DeCastro. Good win for the Chiefs. The Dolphins and Panthers have different needs I think so it doesn’t effect it as much, though both could be in the market for a RT they both need RT and in the top 10 is a little early for a RT.

The NFL is considering making changes to the 40 yard dash where players would race each other.

The NFL is considering making some major changes to its annual scouting combine, including having prospects compete against one another in the 40-yard dash and the bench-press, the New York Times reported on Thursday.

The possible changes coincide with the league’s recent effort to make the game more accessible to fans. This year, for instance, the league is allowing 250 select fans to attend the combine for a day, and fans were also allowed to buy tickets to Media Day at this year’s Super Bowl.

Now some weigh-in information.

Ole Miss Tackle Bobby Massie has started his climb up draft boards.

He measured in at 6’6 316 pounds with 35 inch long arms. Massie is also going to show this week how athletic he is and will probably enter the second round conversation.

Alabama  Birmingham T Matt Mcants also had a good weigh in. 6’6 308 pounds and 35 3/8 Those are huge arms.

Kelechi Osmele also stood out at 6’6 333 35 7/8 that’s impressive, especially because he doesn’t look fat.

Both Zebrie Sanders and Senio Kelemete the offensive linemen measured a full inch taller at the combine than they did at the Senior Bowl.

Clemson TE Dwayne Allen measured in at 6’3 255 pounds. He’s one of the biggest Tight Ends at the combine. If he runs well he could shore up a first round pick.

Orson Charles considered a feather weight was 6’2 and 251 pounds. Let’s see if he maintains the same kind of athleticism. That’s 10 pounds heavier than he was listed in college. Considering his weakness his is blocking strength that can only help.

Now some losers:

Riley Reiff 6’5 313 pounds. 33 1/4 long arms which is not great. Arm length and hand sizes (which I can’t find) are the 40 yard dashes for offensive linemen. Reiff just ran a 5.0 40.
