There are varying opinions of where Alabama RB Trent Richardson will land in the up-coming NFL Draft, but Todd McShay’s is pretty intriguing to me. McShay projects Richardson will land with the Seattle Seahawks, who just saw a “breakout” season of sorts from current starter Marshawn Lynch.
Sure, Richardson isn’t a quarterback to get the franchises fan base pumped, but at 11 overall, it would certainly be excellent value, something not a lot of people thought the Seahawks got last year in first round pick James Carpenter.
In fact, a lot of Pete Carroll’s picks seemed pretty questionable last year, but the Seahawks finished about as strong as most teams in the NFL this season, but it was the little things early on that really killed their chances.
Adding a guy like Richardson could be like adding a superstar past the 10th pick, and I don’t think that’s an opportunity the Seahawks could pass up on.
