Coastal Carolina CB Josh Norman Impressing at East-West Shrine Practices

Since NFL Mocks is not able to be at the East-West shrine game practices, we have to give you the best coverage possible from around the web. We saw a report yesterday from our friends at Mocking the Draft, who indicated that the 6’2″ corner was making plays on the ball and really turning heads.

This morning, a report from good friend Cecil Lammey at the New York Times included an interview with the prospect as well as some very high praise:

At 6 feet 1 inch, he is bigger than most cornerbacks. Norman also has good size for the position, weighing in at 203 pounds. He has the ability to click and close on receivers who make a break for the ball in front of him. Norman loves to bait quarterbacks into bad throws. He’ll play off a receiver to give the appearance that there’s a throwing window. Once a quarterback decides to test him, he’ll immediately break on the ball, and interceptions are often a result.

Also, a report from WalterFootball.com also indicated that Norman was having a good week, so he will be likely one of the biggest risers on draft boards.
