Rutgers wide receiver Mohamed Sanu had a monster junior season, and now he is taking his game to the next level, he confirmed on Tuesday. Sanu caught 115 passes for 1,206 yards and was named first-team All Big East.
Sanu said this decision was a tough one for him, because he really enjoyed his time with the Scarlet Knights:
“We talked about just all the stuff I did here, the great year I had, not sure if I would match numbers, and also we talked about my age being a difference. I’m 22 going on 23, and pretty much we talked about a lot of stuff, that was something that was big.
“I definitely was thinking about coming back,” Sanu said. “I love Rutgers so much, and just being around my teammates all the time. I’m going to miss that aspect of it.”
Sanu is a fringe first round talent and could get picked in the later portion of the first day. At 6’2″ 215 pounds, he is a big playmaker and should be able to make an impact early in the NFL.
