Matt Kalil Returning To USC Will Matt Barkley Follow?

Things might get really shaken up atop N.F.L. draft boards, according to Rob Rang it appears that LT Matt Kalil will return to USC for his senior season.

Southern California left tackle Matt Kalil is “set to return” for his senior season according to a source close to the situation

If Kalil returns it lends to speculation that quarterback Matt Barkley could follow. With their strong finish to the season and the fact that their Bowl ban ends next year are probably the motivating factors.

There was a rumor a while back that Barkley & Kalil wanted to take USC to a bowl game. Wouldn’t be surprised if both stay in school.

What kind of chain reaction would this set. There have been rumors floating around (or speculation) that Robert Griffin III wants to go Law School and could remain at Baylor,  but if Barkely returns would he enter the draft. It seems he’d be a lock for the top 10. If Griffin does return to school with Barkley would Landry Jones for sure enter the draft. Jones hasn’t had a great season this year and his draft stock has taken a hit. I’m working on the big board right now, but Jones probably won’t be in the top 30. He really needs another season, but if it is just Luck and Tannehilll would Jones enter the draft and could he get into the top 10?

Who knows. One thing for sure though is that if Barkley and Kalil return to USC they’ll be among the preseason favorites next year.
