Time  for the weekly power rankings. The Colts are absolutely awful. What else did we learn this weekend? The Eagles won’t be making the playoffs, but they play a lot of  potential playoff teams (the Giants, Cowboys, Jets) and can play the role of spoiler. This is a team no one wants to play because they are very talented despite their record. The Packers are awesome, that is all.

Looking for more to read? We have now upated our scouting report page to include more than 100 scouting reports. Check it out.

32.  Indianapolis Colts (Previously Colts)

The biggest question now should be, does Jim Caldwell get to keep his job when the Colts draft Andrew Luck first overall next year?  Anyone who ever questioned anything about Peyton Manning looks just silly. This team is just awful Curtis Painter is no good. The defense is only good when they are able to rush the passer and I think it’s more than fair to question whether or not Bill Polian is the mastermind

31.  Washington Redskins (previously Rams)

I,  think it’s fair to put the Redskins here. In a league that is all about what have you done for me lately the Redskins have lost five straight games each one in worse fashion than the one before it. This team stinks.

30. Carolina Panthers (Previously Dolphins)

The Panther

s have a bright future, but the future isn’t now. The Panthers have lost two games in a row and are coming off a really terrible loss vs the Titans who have been as up and down as any team in the league.

29.  Cleveland Browns  (previously Seahawks)

A loss at home to the Rams? The Rams?  The most productive thing that has happened for the Browns this year is that they can now be sure that Colt McCoy is not the answer. He flashed early, but odds are the Browns are looking for a Quarterback with their first pick in the first round and they can address some of their other talent issues with their second first round pick.

28. Miami Dolphins (Previously Arizona Cardinals)

The team is starting to come around a bit, but it’s too little too late for Sparano. The Dolphins still need a quarterback for the future, but at least they know they have some good complementary pieces and who knew Reggie Bush could be a decent runner? Bush has been a little vindicated.

27.  St. Louis Rams (Previously Jacksonville Jaguars )

The Rams have an impressive win vs the Saints and went to Cleveland to beat the Browns. The rest of the schedule isn’t too bad for the Browns so they could make a nice little run here to finish second in the division.

26.   Minnesota Vikings (previously Washington Redskins)

The Vikings have a lot of important issues that need to be address, most importantly along the offensive line. If the Vikings can work out their offensive line and add some more weapons they could be competitive next year with Christian Ponder. Christian Ponder’s drafting still seems like a bit of a reach, but now its up to the Vikings to surround Ponder with the weapons he needs to have a shot at being the franchise quarterback the team thinks he is going to become.

25.  Jacksonville Jaguars (previously Cleveland Browns)

The Jaguars proved on Sunday they are better than the awful Colts, but they still have a lot of issues. Even more than the Vikings the Jaguars need an overhaul of their offensive weapons that are not Maurice Jones Drew.

24.    Seattle Seahawks (previously Carolina Panthers)

The Seahawks are a team I keep picking to cover and they are doing a good job of that. They are underrated. This is NOT a terrible team, they are just no good. They need a franchise quarterback and some consistency on the roster and they will be fine.

23. Philadelphia Eagles (previously Minnesota Vikings)

The Chargers of the N.F.C. They win every facet of the football game except for the scoreboard. It.  would not surprise me at all if they came out and blew the doors of the Giants this weekend. It also wouldn’t surprise me if they have more yards than the Giants, but loss on stupid plays

22. Arizona Cardinals  (previouslyDenver Broncos)

The Cardinals have played even better than their record indicates. The Cardinals nearly beat the Ravens and the Giants, and they did beat the Eagles WITH John Skeleton. They still need help along their offensive line and a pass rusher from the 34 OLB spot or the 43 DE spot depending on which defense they are running, but they aren’t that far behind the 49ers in pure talent.

21.  Kansas City Chiefs (Previously Oakland Raiders)

There we go, the Chiefs are back to being the team everyone thought they would be earlier in the season. Arrowhead is supposed to be a tough team to play, but two weeks in a row they have had terrible performances at home.

 20.  Denver Broncos (Previously Titans)

Tebow Mania is about to be in full force. If they keep winning I have to keep pushing them up the Power rankings. Can they beat the Jets on Thursday night?

19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (previously Kansas City Chiefs)

Terrible, terrible performance by Josh Freeman and the Buccaneers. I hope Freeman is hurt because he’s not playing well. If he’s not hurt there are bigger issues. The loss of Gerald McCoy wont’ help this season.

18. Buffalo Bills  (Previously Tampa Bay Buccaneers)

The Bills, like the Bills do, were a bit premature on the Ryan Fitzpatrick contract. Fitzpatrick is still good enough to get this team to the playoffs if they can address their defensive woes (pass rusher, another good run stuffing linebacker), but he’s not going to take them to the promised land, but perhaps playoffs are enough for this once really proud franchise.

17.  San Diego Chargers (previously Philadelphia Eagles)

Every year the Chargers can’t get out of their own way but they luck into the playoffs  because their division is terrible. What’s different this year? Nothing. They’ll probably make the playoffs again because there aren’t any better options in the A.F.C. West.

16.  Tennessee Titans (Previously Bills)

The Titans have had an up and down year, but Chris Johnson is finally coming on strong and that is going to be bad news for the teams that fact the Titans the rest of the season. If Johnson plays well it will help out Matt Hasselbeck.
