Quarterback Tajh Boyd has been lighting up college football this season, not unlike the way Robert Griffin III is conducting business down in Waco.
It seems like every week you can pick a name out of a hat of a top performer and say, “Player X is a sleeper Heisman candidate” but that could actually be the case for Boyd, and not just a bunch of talk.
The sophomore signal caller has been sensational, helping lead Clemson to three victories over three ranked teams in the last three weeks. He has completed just over 61 percent of his passes for 1,459 yards, 14 touchdowns, and only two interceptions. He has also added two rushing touchdowns.
So, get to know about this young man from Clemson. He’s 6’1″ and 230 pounds, and he is already showing he has great instincts and an excellent feel for the game.
