Randall Cobb Ties NFL Record For Kick Off, Impresses in Green Bay Packers vs Saints Game

This game isn’t over yet, but boy is it entertaining.

If you’re a fan who likes to see scoring, you’ve come to the right place. With nearly 7 minutes left in the third quarter the Score is Green Bay 35, New Orleans Saints 27.

The early star of the game is second round draft pick: Randall Cobb has a touchdown reception and a 108 yard kickoff return. Cobb was considered a dynamic playmaker heading into the draft and while some people questioned why the Packers would draft Cobb with all of the offensive talent they have, Cobb is making Ted Thompson look like a genius.

The other star of the game is the Saints new addition Darren Sproles. Sproles has a punt return for a touchdown, a 57 yard kick off return, and 5 catches for 56 yards.

As far as the other rookies go (besides Cobb). Derrick Sherrod’s rough preseason “earned” him a spot on the inactive list tonight. Cameron Jordan got the start, but hasnt’ played the starter amount of snaps. He’s shown some ability tonight going up against Bryan Bulaga, but only has 1 tackle.

Mark Ingram has had some very nice runs, though they were short. Early in the third quarter Ingram came onto the field and kind of slowed the game down for the Saints with his straight forward running and kept the Saints defense off the field for a little bit, which they desperately needed.

Who hasn’t played well?

Anyone on either defense.
