Recently Rashad Jennings went on the IR.  This was ironic because I drafted him due to the fact MJD was having injury problems. While searching the Waiver Wire, I come across Ben Tate.  He was signed in a second.  While laughing at the owner of an injured Arian Foster…I couldn’t help but notice one rule that was ignored.  If you are in a deeper league…you always handcuff your RB’s if they have a talented backup.  Step your game up guys!!!

Starters

I am starting Matthew Stafford over Joe Flacco.  First off: Flacco has the Steelers on his docket.  Never start any QB in that situation.  Stafford has a nice matchup at Tampa Bay.  Buccs are without Tanard Jackson,  their top safety.  On top of that the Buccaneers have not shown the ability to pressure the QB yet.  I expect around 200-250 yards and 1-2 touchdowns.

At RB I will go with Ray Rice @ Steelers.  I hate the matchup, but this is a PPR league and he was my number 1 pick.  I feel he can get 50-60 yards rushing and another 30-40 receiving.  I am also hoping for a touchdown.  Darren McFadden is also starting for my team.  Playing versus the Broncos I am expecting a solid day.  Problem is he hasn’t played much due to injury.  I think 80-90 yards rushing with 40-50 yards receiving is possible.  I am also hoping for 1-2 touchdowns.

At WR Reggie Wayne is playing the Texans without Peyton Manning.  We shall see how he does.  In preseason, he put up solid numbers.  I think 6-7 receptions for 70-80 yards and if God loves me a touchdown is reasonable.  Wes Welker will carve up the Dolphins.  I think 9-10 receptions for around 100 yards is in the cards for Monday.  Lastly, I start Steve Johnson playing the Chiefs.  I do not like this matchup at all.  Brandon Flowers will lock him down.  I start him because Jordy Nelson has not shown anything, Jacoby Ford has been injured, and Deion Branch has been largely ignored this pre season.  I am expecting 4-5 receptions for 50-60 yards.

At the flex position I am starting Ben Tate.  I love his matchup versus the Colts and can expect around 100 yards rushing, 20-30 yards receiving, and a touch down.

At TE Jimmy Graham plays the Packers.  Packers can lock down TE’s but Saints throw so many weapons at you they might not be able to this week.  Safe expectations of 4-5 receptions for 40-50 yards. A touchdown would be nice.

At Kicker, I am hoping David Buehler is still starting for the Cowboys.  If so, they play the Jets and I don’t expect much from him.

Cowboys defense will play the Jets and I think they will have a solid day.  2-3 sacks and 1-2 interception while allowing around 17-20 points.

Foe:

Sun Tzu states, “Know thy enemy.”  My enemy is a Steelers fan who will be pwned in the next few days.

His team is solid starting: Aaron Rogers, Miles Austin, Austin Collie, Mario Manningham, Steven Jackson, Knowshon Moreno, Dallas Clark, MikeThomas, Neil Rackers, and the Eagles defense.

Prediction:

While Yahoo predicts that I will be trounced…Yahoo has not updated in a while.  I believe I have sleepers that will produce more than predicted such as Stafford, Ben Tate, and the Cowboys Defense.  I sense a 1-0 start for me.  Stay tuned for how it shakes off.  Also articles on Whose hot and Whose not…Will it Last….and Waiver Wire Pickups will be posted throughout the year.
