I don’t think he will get an hour-long special with Jon Gruden on ESPN, but former Georgia running back Caleb King has opted to join Terrelle Pryor in one post-NCAA football endeavor in entering the supplemental draft, via the Bulldogs Blog.
King’s entry into the supplemental draft is not much of a surprise, considering his alternatives. King was recently ruled academically ineligible for the Georgia football team, and his camp has moved quickly to get him to the next level as soon as possible.
The former Bulldog is certainly facing an uphill battle to his NFL career. Very few success stories have come from this process, but that doesn’t mean it’s a trend and not a case-by-case basis. King will likely go undrafted or be a late selection in the draft, whenever that takes place.
