Senior Bowlers: Will This Be Your Future?

As you look over the rosters for the Senior Bowl today, just know at least one of these players will be in the uniform of either sides coach.  Since 2007, one player from the Senior Bowl has been selected in the NFL Draft by either his coach or opposing coach from this game every year but 2008.  The roster’s are filled with the biggest stars in the Senior class and their are only 32 teams, so the chances are good it happens.  The first year I looked at(2007) had eight players selected and last year we had four.

The practices are loaded with scouts and the game will be loaded with front office types, so each team can get a close look at any player that interests them.  The coaching staffs that lead the drills each week are in a good position to get to know these players and test them any way they want during drills.  Some of the participants in previous Senior Bowls have been good salesman to these staffs, just to get that coach or staff to fall in love with them.  Let’s take a look at how the past four years have played out as far as players selected by teams that coached the Senior Bowl.
