Here is our updated power rankings!  Can you believe the season ends on Sunday?? It has gone so quick!  This ranking was completed by staff writer Jon New.

1. New England Patriots – Another week another strong performance. New England locked up the AFC’s #1 seed on Sunday and are peaking at the perfect time.

2. New Orleans Saints – Big time win on an off night by the Saints. They are reminding people why they won it all last year.

3. Atlanta Falcons – Tough loss for Atlanta as they failed to lock up the number one seed on Monday. This Falcons team is special though.

4. Philadelphia Eagles – Chalk last nights loss to being out of sorts.  This team is still very dangerous.

5. Pittsburgh Steelers – It is nearly impossible to learn anything about a team who beats the Panthers.

6. Chicago Bears – The Bears won a wild on on Sunday and have a chance to get a first round bye. Pretty nice turnaround for Chicago.

7. Baltimore Ravens – The Ravens are in the playoffs and can still pull off a home game if they get some help on Sunday and clinch the AFC North.

8. Kansas City Chiefs – The Chiefs put on a show Sunday and in doing so clinched a surprise AFC West crown.

9. Indianapolis Colts – Peyton Manning wins on Sunday and he and the Colts get into the playoffs yet again.

10. Green Bay Packers – Aaron Rodgers returned and the Packers offense lit up. I wouldn’t want to face this team in January.

11. New York Jets – It was a crazy game in Chicago on Sunday and the Jets came up short, but they were able to clinch a playoff berth despite the loss, but are not playing their best football heading into the playoffs.

12. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – The Buccaneers have been an impressive team in 2010. They have one of the youngest teams in the leauge but may be the team with the most to gripe about because of the miserable NFC West taking a playoff spot from them.

13. Jacksonville Jaguars – Jacksonville can still get into the playoffs by winning on Sunday and getting some help. They have been a surprise this year but may end up a bit short.

14. San Diego Chargers – Losing at the beginning of the season finally caught up to the Chargers who couldn’t pull off yet another perfect December to make a late playoff run.

15. New York Giants – After blowing a lead to the Eagles last week, the Giants lost another to Green Bay and likely are going to be on the outside looking in at the playoffs in the NFC.

16. St. Louis Rams – With a win on Sunday St. Louis can win the NFC West. It has been an impressive turn around for the Rams in 2010.

17. Oakland Raiders – Maybe next year for the Raiders, they were much improved this season and if they can straighten out their QB position they have a chance to do what Kansas City did this year and make a run at the AFC West.

18. Miami Dolphins – Miami has some questions going into the offseason. Quarterback is definitely a giant question mark.

19. Seattle Seahawks – The Seahawks have a chance to become the first team in the NFL to make the playoffs with a losing record. All they have to do is beat the Rams at home on Sunday.

20. Washington Redskins – It will be interesting to see how the Redskins operate in the offseason given the hope they had going into the season with a new QB and head coach.
