Alabama nose tackle Terrence Cody lines up three visits with NFL teams

Alabama v Auburn

One of the largest men in this year’s draft class, Alabama nose tackle Terrence Cody, has often been criticized for being lazy and overweight. Cody showed up to the Under Armour Senior Bowl at a monstrous 370-pounds. In an effort to show he is dedicated to being in shape and performing at his highest level, Cody cut down to 354 for the NFL Scouting combine and then lost another 4 pounds for his Pro Day weighing him in at 349.

“Mount Cody” is your prototypical nose tackle. He is a massive space eater with great lower body strength. Cody has shown the ability to disrupt the opposing backfield and for a man of his size, he uses his hands very well.

While talks of Cody’s conditioning have raised a red flag and could effect his draft status, the Alabama nose tackle has three visits lined up with teams in the later part of round one who have a need at the position in their 3-4 defense — the San Diego Chargers, New York Jets, and Baltimore Ravens.
