Players and NFL personnel are in Indianapolis for the NFL Scouting Combine this weekend. There have been rumors swirling regarding a potential trade involving Washington Redskins quarterback Jason Campbell. It has long been suspected that Campbell’s time in Washington has come to an end and Jason Reid of the Washington Post wrote today about a rumor that he and Jason La Canfora of NFL Network have been hearing in Indianapolis.
“Between sharing a few laughs, we both were busy checking out rumors about a potential Redskins trade that supposedly would send Jason Campbell, a restricted free agent, to the Buffalo Bills for safety Donte Whitner and a draft pick,” wrote Reid.
Reid goes on to say that the trade will likely never come to fruition. In fact, Campbell’s agent, Joel Segal, is expected to speak with Redskins General Manager Bruce Allen at some time during the combine to discuss a new contract.
Campbell becomes a restricted free agent next week and the Redskins are expected to give him a $3.268 million tender, which would give the team a first and third-rounder as compensation if Campbell was to sign elsewhere.

Worst QB winning % in over 50 years of redskin football. Only 2 tds outside of the red zone in ’09 only 3 in ’08. 80% of passes travel less than 10 yds from the line of scrimmage. 5 seasons with the skins they had 2 playoff appearances. both times he was not the qb. ( brunell and collins) if you can get a 7th rounder for him thats a steal!
JC….I’d like to see you take snaps with their O-line and see what YOUR percentage is. I bet the other JC’s is better..>LMAO
which o-line? because that was the excuse in ’07 until collins took over with a banged up o- line and went to the playoffs. Or last years’ o- line that lost to the lions BEFORE the injuries took place. Or how about Aaron Rodgers line that gave up the most sacks and saw him go to the playoffs and the pro bowl. Or maybe the steelers line in’08 that gave up the most sacks, had no 1000 yd rusher and won the super bowl. Funny that Todd Collins played all of 2 1/2 quarters last year and has 2 of the 5 longest pass plays last year with the line that doesn’t give Campbell enough time.
