Mark Dominik, Director of Pro Personnel for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was speaking to the Tampa, Florida radio station 620 WDAE-AM today. While speaking with Steve Duemig, Dominik expressed the Bucs willingness and readiness to trade up or down in the upcoming draft.
“We have the ability to go either direction,” Dominik said. “We’ll prepare to go either direction, which is a good option for Tampa Bay.”
A move up in the draft would mean that Tampa Bay is looking to land one of the premier defensive tackles in this year’s class — Ndamukong Suh and Gerald McCoy. Moving up does not fit into Dominik’s strategy though. He has previously said he prefers to build through the draft.
That would make trading down the more likely possibility. The Buccaneers could benefit from landing a top pass-rusher or wide receiver if Suh and McCoy are unavailable. If Tampa trades down a few spots, Georgia Tech’s Derrick Morgan and Oklahoma State’s Dez Bryant would be intriguing options. Morgan is believed to be a target for the Bucs even at pick 3.

This is my wish list for the Bucs this year.. trade no.3 pick to Browns for Josh Cribbs and No.7 overall. Trade no.7 overall to Broncos for Brandon Marshall and 12th overall. or trade no.3 to Broncos for Brandon Marshall . Three way trade however they work it out. Broncos need a Quarterback. With No.3 they can pick Bradford or Clausen. However you work it we end up with Brandon Marshall, Josh Cribbs. Sign Ronnie Brown. Cribbs and Ronnie Brown wildcat would be the shit. Then far fetched Sign Terrell Owens.
jonathan your clearly an idiot. first of all if you want b-marsh youll be the one giving up picks not the other way around. and if anyone truly needs a qb its tb
oh johnathan johnathan johnathan what a butt crevice u r. Quit thinkin with ur toe jam.
Anonymous ur thinkin with ur dipstick son. take some ginko 4 ur brain drain prob pal. u r clearly an idiot max. if u cant make intelligent comments go back to the cartoon channel bub.
Is this a site for 3rd graders. Anonymous you must remain that way because you know nothing about football. Johnathan you do a lot of wishful thinking. Josh Freeman played good at the end of the year and they don’t need a QB. They do need Defense. The Bucs will draft either Suh, McCoy or Berry. If the trade down the choices become Haden, McClain or Dez Bryant. Tombo I like that comment about the cartoon channel lol.
Jonathan..as a Broncos fan, it’d take more than that to get B-Marsh. Oh, and the Broncos aren’t selecting 12th, it’ll either be 10th or 11th depending on a coin flip. So that makes your trade proposal even more stupid. “Hey Josh, fancy moving up 3 spots? Oh, and you have to give us Marshall too, moving up a whole 3 spots is definitely worth your best player in the deal as well.” What you suggested wouldn’t even work on bloody Madden… Thickandstones has the right idea. It’s either stay where you are and take the best player available, or trade down and try and get Dez Bryant along with someone else who can contribute right away.
I think a trade-down would be a good idea. I like Haden, & also McClain if he can move to sam. I in general hate taking WRs & DEs in the first round because so many are busts.
I have Tampa trading down with the bills for their 9th pick DT Marcus Stroud and either a 2nd or 3rd rounder and with the 9th i have tampa taking either DE Morgan, LT Anthony Davis, or WR Bryant
