Anthony Davis goes all in; declares for 2010 draft
The offensive line prospect list got a bit stronger this morning, after Rutgers offensive tackle Anthony Davis made public his decision to forgo his senior season and enter the draft next spring.
Davis is an outstanding run blocker and likely projects as a right tackle in the NFL. He will have to put in a significant amount of work on his pass protection skills to guarantee a spot in round one, and a good showing at the scouting combine in February will also help in that regard.
His size is excellent as well, coming in at 6′6″ and 325 pounds, so a team may end up taking a flier on him earlier than projected based on his potential. Davis has been a starter from day one at Rutgers and earned a spot on the All Big East team this season.
