Fresno St RB Ryan Mathews, Nation’s Leading Rusher, to Enter NFL Draft

ESPN’s Joe Schad has reported that the nation’s leading rusher, Ryan Mathews, has decided to forgo his senior year and enter the NFL Draft.

Mathews rushed for 1,808 yards, averaging 6.6 yards per carry. He also found the endzone 19 times.

Mathews is currently a 3rd or 4th round prospect. He runs with an excellent pad level and while he is not a burner, he will be able to outrun linebackers and safeties at the next level.
