Mike Wallace Keeps Steelers Playoff Hopes Alive With Spectacular Catch

A year ago when Mike Wallace was a senior wideout at Ole Miss, no one would have ever guessed who would become an immediate contributor in the NFL. Wallace first caught the eye of the professional scouts when he ran a blistering 4.33 in the 40 yard dash at the 2009 NFL Scouting Combine.

Wallace was known as a guy who would come in and stretch the field while lending a helping hand on special teams. He has far exceeded expectations. Wallace has 36 catches for 609 yards and 5 touchdowns in his rookie season.

No catch was bigger than the one he recorded at the 60 minute mark in Pittsburgh’s game against the Green Bay Packers tonight. It was reminiscent of the touchdown grab by Santonio Holmes that won the Steelers their sixth Lombardi Trophy.

Watch this video and enjoy, and remember… your teams third-round pick is just as important as the first, so make sure to stay tuned to draft coverage and see who your team’s next impact impact player could be.
