Michigan RB Brandon Minor undergoes shoulder surgery

Brandon Minor, Michigan’s senior tailback, underwent surgery last week to repair a torn rotator cuff. The injury is bad news for Minor who was projected to be selected in the mid-rounds of the 2010 NFL Draft.

Minor was selected for the East-West Shrine game which takes place at the conclusion of college football’s bowl season, however, the injury will force him to pull from the game. Minor’s surgery will take upwards of four months to fully recover and it will keep him out of any football-related activity.

Minor averaged 5.2 yards per carry in 2009 and rushed for 8 touchdowns. For his career, he totaled 20 touchdowns and 1,658 yards rushing.
