Lions pick top tight end Pettigrew at number 20
With Matthew Stafford officially in the fold, the Lions used their second pick of round one to get an intermediate
target for their new franchise QB. With the 20th pick of round one, Oklahoma State tight end Brandon Pettigrew became a member of the Detroit Lion family.
Pettigrew, the best TE prospect in the draft, was thought to be a possible top 15 pick before he posted a lumbering 4.85 in 40-yard dash at the combine.
