Jacksonville can thank Al Davis for this gift. Had Tom Cable has his way, the Raiders would have grabbed 
Virginia’s Eugene Monroe at number seven. Instead, the Jaguars were gifted an elite left tackle with the 8th pick in the draft.
There was one point in time where Monroe was considered as top 5 talent, if not the top pick overall. That’s the draft for you.
