After drafting a running back with the 12th pick, the Denver Broncos began to address their defensive needs by 
selecting Tennessee defensive end Robert Ayers with the 18th pick in round one.
Ayers will be expected to help stabilize a Denver defense that has already undergone a Joan Rivers-like face lift in 2009.
