The Falcons picked the defensive tackle with the 24th pick in round one after Jerry’s teammate, Michael Oher, went to the Baltimore Ravens at number 23. Jerry is the second defensive tackle off the board in ’09 following B.J. Raji who went to Green Bay earlier at pick number 9.
