The Cincinnati Bengals selected Alabama left tackle Andre Smith with the sixth pick in the ‘09 draft. At one point
, Smith was considered the top prospect in the draft before he went Houdini at the combine and had an unimpressive pro day.
The Bengals chose to ignore the warning signs and will bank on Andre being the guy to have Carson Palmer’s back for the foreseeable future.
