Orlando Pace, number ONE overall. Worked out well, I think.
We need to protect Bulger....Eugene Monroe in First Round, and Max Unger in Round Two.

I agree with your assesssment of Andre Smith. I'm not sold on him. If I remember correctly, Jim Hannifan (famed offensive line coach) was never a proponent of using high draft picks on offensive linemen. He was also in Washington when Bobby Beathard was runnung their drafts and I wonder if their views were similar on this subject. Of course, new GM Billy Devaney is a disiciple of Beathard, so I wonder what his views are on the subject. I'm all for getting a skill player, playmaker on offense or defense(via linebacker, cornerback, safety, wide reciever, etc) and waiting for a linemen later, or taking one in free agency. One more thought, Jackie Slater 1976 3rd round,Irv Pankey 1980 2nd round,Tom Newberry 1986 2nd round,Adam Timmerman ? 6th round, it's just a thought.

In Crabtree the Rams get a go-to guy who is big, strong and fast who excelled against elite competition; most importantly, if we get him, we keep him away from Seattle's grubby wings. We strengthen ourselves and we weaken a division opponent. Now that's effective drafting. And let's not forget, a replacement for Holt when he leaves in a year or so.
