Bradford is a much safer choice than the sporadic Stafford. Do the Chiefs want a project at quarterback, a guy who will come in and toss 20 interceptions, or do they want a guy who makes good reads, rarely makes a bad decision and has the highest "Quarterback IQ" in the draft?
