2009 NFL Draft Prospect Watch: Michael Crabtree

As everyone knows by now I think Michael Crabtree is the best prospect in this entire draft, but he may not even leave college after this year.

I know he is a Sophomore but he is eligible to leave because he was redshirted during his Freshman season.

Last season he had 134 catches, 1962 yards, and 22 touchdowns. I don’t care if he is in an all pass offense or not, that’s pretty impressive.

Quotes like this is why I like his chances of being very successful in the NFL, whenever he chooses to leave college.

“I want to be the best,” said Crabtree. “The best can’t just chill off one season. The best has to work every day, every year, every minute.”

Expect Crabtree to be just as dominant this season in Texas Tech’s high powered offense. He might score 25 TDs and by midseason he could be among the favorites to win the Heisman Trophy.

He runs a 4.48 40 yard dash (info from WalterFootball.com) and is a can’t miss prospect. He’s super strong and can make plays in the open field with his speed and athleticism.

I expect him to be a top 5 pick in the 2009 NFL Draft.
