1st Round |
2. St. Louis Rams - Vernon Gholston DE OSU
- This was a tough decision for the St. Louis front office, but they think Dorsey is an injury risk, and Chris Long isn’t as good an athlete as Gholston. The Rams are in good shape no matter what defensive palyer they take here.
3. Atlanta Falcons - Glenn Dorsey DT LSU
- Atlanta couldn’t have gotten the card up to the podium faster, Dorsey is there man if he is there. He will immediately help cover up the fact that the Falcons corners are bad with his pas rush.

4. Oakland Raiders - Chris Long DE UVA
- The opportunity to add another Long to the Raiders D Line is to hard to pass up for Al Davis. Teaming Long with Burgess and Kelly give Oakland potentially great front 4.

5. Kansas City Chiefs - Branden Albert OT UVA
- Kansas City, before last season, was known for having great offensive lines. This pick along with a few others spent on the OL will send them back in that direction.
6. New York Jets - Darren McFadden RB Arkansas
- This is a classic too hard to pass up pick. When you have the opportunity to grab the best player in the draft (according to some) at 6 you take him no matter what position he plays.
7. New England Patriots (From 49ers) - Leodis McKelvin CB Troy
- The need at corner outweighs the age of their linebackers, so McKelvin is the pick.

8. Baltimore Ravens - Matt Ryan QB Boston College
- The Ravens get their guy and they don’t have to trade up to get him. I wonder if the Ravens picked 20th would he slide that far? I doubt it but you never know.

9. Cincinnati Bengals - Sedrick Ellis DT USC
- Cincinatti needs players everywhere, so they select the BPA(best player available). I like Ellis as a player, so I hope he goes to a better situation than this.
10. New Orleans Saints - Mike Jenkins CB USF
- New Orleans continues to add avg players to their defensive backfield in an attempt to fix the problem, IT’S NOT WORKING. This selection gives them the physical shutdown corner they haven’t been trying to sign.
11. Buffalo Bills - Devin Thomas WR Michigan St.
- The Bills top 2 WR(Evans and Reed) last year were both under 4 feet tall, so it makes sense to grab the 6 foot 2 Thomas. Trent Edwards will benefit a ton from having this large target.

12. Denver Broncos - Ryan Clady OT Boise St.
- Clady at left tackle and Ryan Harris at right sounds alot better than Harris at LT and Erik Pears(who) at RT.
13. Carolina Panthers - Derrick Harvey DE Florida
- This is a need pick because DE Tyler Brayton isn’t very good. In my opinion Harvey could end up being better than Julius Peppers.

14. Chicago Bears - Jeff Otah OT Pitt
- Otah would be great for the Bears if he falls this far. He is a massive man that should push Tait over to RT and inject some youth into the Bears old offensive line.

15. Detroit Lions - Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie Tenn St.
- The Lions corners are horrible, so this is the only pick that makes sense. He should be the kick returner from day one.
16. Arizona Cardinals - Rashard Mendenhall RB Illinois
- With the popularity of the 2 back system now, the addition of Mendenhall might add a couple more years to Edge’s career.

17. Minnesota Vikings - Phillip Merling DE Clemson
- Unless the trade for Jared Allen happens before the draft, this is the pick. If this pick is traded to Kansas City, they may select Merling or Chris Williams.
18. Houston Texans - Chris Williams OT Vandy
- Ephraim Salaam is getting up in age(will be 32) so it is time to draft a replacement now. Williams is good enough to start immediately, but look for him to star in 2009.
19. Philadelphia Eagles - DeSean Jackson WR Cal
- Bombs Away Donovan!! It should be fun to watch McNabb launch bombs to this speedster. He will be a playmaker in the return game as well.
20. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Antoine Cason CB Arizona
- He should easily replace Phillip Buchanon as the starter. Cason is one of the most underratted players in this draft.
21. Washington Redskins -Keith Rivers LB USC
- It happens every year, one player predicted to go in the top 10 freefalls into the 20’s. I would like to introduce you to this years freefall, Keith Rivers. Washington would gladly pick him up at this point.
22. Dallas Cowboys (From Browns) - Felix Jones RB Arkansas
- Jerry Jones wants an Arkansas RB, but this one was a reach. With Jonathan Stewart still sitting there he chose a player that should be available when they select next at 28.
23. Pittsburgh Steelers - Calais Campbell DE Miami
- He will be a nice addition to the Steelers already strong front seven.
24. Tennessee Titans - Limas Sweed WR Texas
- I can’t get over the Texas connection between Sweed and Vince Young, so this is my pick for that reason.

25. Seattle Seahawks - Jonathan Stewart RB Oregon
- Due to injury concerns J Stew falls to the running back hungry Seahawks. This is a perfect fit for both parties.
26. Jacksonville Jaguars - Kentwan Balmer DT UNC
- It will be tough to replace Stroud’s size and toughness, but the Jags will be fine as long as Balmer doesn’t play like fellow UNC DT Ryan Sims.
27. San Diego Chargers - Gosder Cherilus OT Boston College
- Gosder has the potential to play left or right tackle, but I can’t see him taking Marcus McNeill’s spot. He will be a solid right tackle for the next few years.
28. Dallas Cowboys - Aqib Talib CB Kansas
- Talib’s draft stock was falling rapidly, after 3 failed drug test at KU. Dallas is in need of a corner and wouldn’t have any trouble drafting a problem child, so the Cowboy’s end the fall and select the pothead.
29. San Francisco 49ers (From Colts) - James Hardy WR Indiana
- Another case of a talented players stock falling due to legal troubles, but Mike Martz needs playmaking WR in his offense, so they look past it.
30. Green Bay Packers - Reggie Smith DB Oklahoma
- Green Bay is in need of some youth at the corner position, so Reggie is the pick. He can also play safety if he is needed to do so.

FORFEITED |

31. New York Giants - Quentin Groves LB Auburn
- This pass rushing specialist will fit in well with the blitz happy Giants.
