1st Round |

1. Miami Dolphins - Jake Long OT, Michigan
- A Long will be picked at number one this year, this week I say Jake. This pick will make John Beck a better QB instantly, now if they just had 6 more 1st round picks.
2. St. Louis Rams - Chris Long DE, Virginia
- With Long and Carriker the Rams have 2 guys with non stop motors getting after the QB, they should be fun to watch for years to come.
3. Atlanta Falcons - Matt Ryan QB, Boston College
- I thought about going McFadden here, but the Falcons need a QB more than anything. Michael Turner could sign with Atlanta in the near future as well.

4. Oakland Raiders - Vernon Gholston DE, Ohio St
- This is a need pick now that DE Clemons signed with the Eagles, but I don’t think the Raiders will mind very much now that Gholston is in silver and black.

5. Kansas City Chiefs - Glenn Dorsey DT, LSU
- Dorsey, injury troubles and all, is still one of the most dominating players in the draft. In KC he will help form of the best D lines in all of football.
6. New York Jets - Darren McFadden RB, Arkansas
- The Jets are faced with a tough decision, do they draft for need or BPA(best player available). The BPA wins out and behind a potentially great O line McFadden could be this years Adrian Peterson.
7. New England Patriots (From 49ers) - Leodis McKelvin CB, Troy
- Samuel and Gay are both gone leaving a huge hole to fill next season. Adding McKelvin to the mix of young corners should help lessen the blow.

8. Baltimore Ravens - Keith Rivers LB, USC
- I wanted to say QB but there isn’t one that is worthy of this pick, so it has to be Rivers. He will fit in nicely on the outside in the 3-4.

9. Cincinnati Bengals - Sedrick Ellis DT, USC
- With the Bengals supposedly changing to a 3-4 defense, Sedrick Ellis is the perfect pick for them.
10. New Orleans Saints - Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie CB, Tenn St
- They just got a boost at LB with the addition of Vilma, and Randall Gay is a nice addition to the secondary, but he isn’t a shutdown corner. With this pick the Saints add a stud corner that should start from day one.
11. Buffalo Bills - Malcolm Kelly, WR Oklahoma
- Being a fan of the Big XII I’ve watched Kelly play quite a few times. He is everything a team could ask for in a WR, look for him to star in Buffalo.

12. Denver Broncos - Ryan Clady OT, Boise St
- Denver can only pray that Clady drops this far, have you seen the tackles they have on the roster? It doesn’t look good for Jay Cutler, unless they add some talent to this position.
13. Carolina Panthers - Kenny Phillips S, Miami
- I was beginning to have doubts about Phillips, but his workout at the Combine sold me. Carolina’s young group of DB’s should gel together to form an above average group.

14. Chicago Bears - Jeff Otah OT, Pittsburgh
- This pick is to get the Bear fans off my back. If Malcolm Kelly falls to Chicago I could see that as the pick as well. With the re-signing of Rex Grossman the Bears can wait until round 2 or 3 to pick a QB.

15. Detroit Lions - Aqib Talib CB, Kansas
- Detroit has a bad group of corners, so this pick made the most sense. Talib also has the ability to return kicks.
16. Arizona Cardinals - Rashard Mendenhall RB, Illinois
- Mendenhall will get the chance to come in and learn under the Edge, then take his job midway through the season.

17. Minnesota Vikings - Derrick Harvey DE, Florida
- The Vikings could be without Kenechi Udeze next season due to illness, so they probably need to look at his replacement now. Harvey really jumped up my draft board after the combine.
18. Houston Texans - Jonathan Stewart RB, Oregon
- Houston fan’s are tired of the beaten down running backs that no other team wants. J Stew will give Texan fans a young star at RB.
19. Philadelphia Eagles - James Hardy WR, Indiana
- With Hardy and Reggie Brown wide, and Kevin Curtis in the slot, I could see McNabb putting up some BIG numbers next season.
20. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - DeSean Jackson WR, Cal
- He is a perfect fit in Tampa Bay, with his big play capabilities. He will also help out in the return game.
21. Washington Redskins - Early Doucet WR, LSU
- The Redskins are going to run the ball alot in 2008, so Doucet being an above average downfield blocker makes sense. Washington is hoping for Dwayne Bowe part 2 with this pick.
22. Dallas Cowboys (From Browns) - Mike Jenkins CB, South Florida
- Dallas needs some help in the secondary, and they would be pretty happy if Jenkins fell this far.
23. Pittsburgh Steelers - Brandon Albert OG, Tennessee
- This one was pretty easy. With Faneca gone the door is open for Albert to dominate in Pittsburgh.
24. Tennessee Titans - Limas Sweed WR, Texas
- The Titans have a huge need at WR, and Limas fills it. Plus he and Vince Young have some chemistry already.

25. Seattle Seahawks - Dustin Keller TE, Purdue
- Seattle received no production out of the TE position last year, and Keller made the move into the 1st round after his incredible combine.
26. Jacksonville Jaguars - Curtis Lofton LB, Oklahoma
- Jacksonville needs some help at LB, besides the oft injured Mike Peterson they have nobody. Lofton is a hard hitter and sure tackler in the middle, something they will need without Stroud.
27. San Diego Chargers - Brandon Flowers CB, Virginia Tech
- I could see Flowers playing alot of nickel back this year, maybe even some safety, because San Diego is set at corner.
28. Dallas Cowboys - Felix Jones RB, Arkansas
- This pick was the same last mock, and I don’t see it changing. He will fit in nicely with that huge O line and the “Barbarion”.
29. San Francisco 49ers (From Colts) - Quentin Groves DE, Auburn
- He will move to OLB in the 3-4, now that they have signed Justin Smith. The 49ers should have a much improved defense next year.
30. Green Bay Packers - Antoine Cason CB, Arizona
- He can shadow for a year or two under Woodson and Harris. He will make a nice nickel back next season.

FORFEITED |

31. New York Giants -Dan Connor LB, Penn St
- After losing Mitchell and Torbor, the Giants have to find a replacement. They will get a sure tackler in Connor.
i really doubt the bucs will go with desean jackson with their first pick. if they go with wr it would have to be sweed. he would fit perfectly within their west coast style offense.
I love the pick…they’ve signed LB Dontarrious Thomas from the Vikes, but I believe they’re looking for him to be more of an ILB (TED). They really could use a mad pass rusher like Groves…DC Manusky knows how to employ LB’s…he was the Charger’s LB Coach before coming to SF.
Hardy at 19? WTF?
5Blings, WTF? Seriously is that all you got? If you are gonna comment give something more than that. Hardy is without question first round material, and Philly needs a WR.
23. Pittsburgh Steelers - Brandon Albert OG, Tennessee
He’s from Virginia
Wow! Yes Albert is from UVA, sorry for the mess up. I was actually just testing everybody to see who would catch it, you win!
Great draft overall; it nearly mirrors mine! I’m not entirely sure that Washington will use its first round pick on a WR, or that Jacksonville will use its on Curtis Lofton(at best a 2nd rounder), but this is still a quality mock draft, which will probably be about 80% correct on April 26.
A. Morace, did you watch many OU games this year? Lofton is a beast, he should be a late 1st early 2nd round pick. As far as the Washington pick, you might be right. They are a hard team to predict. Thanks for showing some love on my mock, I really appreciate it. I would take 80% every time.
Your 1st 18 are awesome, well done. After the 18th pick we start to drift apart from each others predictions.
Your mock draft was pretty precise. I agree with most except the desean Jackson spot
YOUR MOCK DRAFT SUCKS!!! U AREN’T GOOD AT DRAFTS AT ALL!!! U NEED 2 RETIRE!
Hey sonny thanks for the comments, maybe the rest of your 3rd grade class can comment as well.
great mock draft i hope sedrick Ellis drops to the Bengals.now we signed Odom our d-line would be solid..and this would give us top 15 defense.
i think the patriots with the 7th overall pick will take cromartie over mckelvina after the terrific combine and the pats interviewing him hes the pick to replace asante samuel
Hey guys. Cool site.
Our mock has been updated to 3 rounds as of 3-29
Thanks,
John Vetsch
