Featured Player: DE Vernon Gholston

Many teams consider Virginia’s Chris Long the top DE in this draft, and they are probably right, but very close behind him is Ohio State DE Vernon Gholston (6-foot-4 264 lbs). Vernon, who was recruited out of high school as a linebacker, is a rare breed of strength(bench presses over 450 lbs.) and speed(has ran a 4.67 in the 40). He proved his worth the past 2 years at the Ohio State University by racking up 22.5 sacks and 30.5 tackles for loss against some very good competition in the Big 10. Gholston could be picked within the top 10 in the upcoming draft(I have him going 11th to Buffalo in my mock). Check out what he did to Jake Long in this video clip!
